Applying the Management Model (CIPP) to Assess the Iranian Urban Education System

Today collegiate education in all majors is considered as inevitable necessities for countries development. Establishing and developing of each major has a tight relation with educating persons who can be trained. Interdisciplinary nature of urbanism has made it face serious challenges so that educational content of urbanism should differ according to time and place. Considering the fact that urbanism is a novel major and educational system plays an effective role in this major especially in our country, evaluating urbanism educational system is an inevitable necessity. Accordingly, it is necessary to extract urbanism educational system indicators in the form of evaluation model and assess this model in sample. On the basis of this approach, the research type is developmental- practical and from content point of view is descriptive- analytical. For compiling data, desk study, interview and questionnaire were applied. Analyzing the compiled data was done by content analysis, swinging weighting and Multi Criteria Decision Making in SPSS software. In order to determine research validity, professors and elites judgments were used and questionnaire reliability was assessed through Cronbach's alpha. Iran is in a lower level than average and this shows the necessity of big changes in urbanism educational system. |
