The urban landscape and architectural styles reflect the political project of a state and its ideology. Urban government buildings built by governments, especially in the capitals, have a key mechanism in describing the governance approach in cities. The relationship between people, politics and the city are shaped through these monuments. In Tehran, as the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran, paying attention to the symbol of political culture in the architecture of the monuments is of great importance. The case study studied in this research was the religious-political structure of Mosalla of Tehran.
The present study aims at assessing the relationship between urban landscape and politics and to define the political culture. The study of the adaptive nature of the architecture of the building with the qualitative features of the political culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the main objective of this research. The nature of the research is qualitative and has been studied by documentary and case study.
The criteria for the evaluation of amnesia are based on Karl Schmidt's views and then the quality indices related to those criteria are presented and the extent of adaptation of Tehran's Moslems to the indicators is measured. Regarding the prevalence of religious values after the Islamic Revolution, it cannot be found that there is a significant correlation between the general approaches of the system and the cultural characteristics of Iranian society with the architecture and the process of making Tehran’s industrial fabric.
