Abstract
Smartization projects refer to a set of activities that use information and communication technologies in cities to increase the quality level, improve efficiency and reduce negative impacts in various fields. Project management of smartization projects, due to the complexity and large number of required parameters, has become one of the most important concerns in this field. In this regard, city information modeling can explain the improvement of the performance of urban smartization projects and how to manage them. Using this model, information related to location, time and resources can be collected and using data analysis methods, intelligent algorithms and automated systems, the performance improvement of urban smartization projects can be guaranteed. This method, in addition to improving the performance of projects, can also improve the quality of life of citizens. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of using city information modeling in improving the performance and management of urban smartization projects, for which quantitative and qualitative research methods were used. In this study, first the urban needs and existing issues are identified. Then, city information modeling solutions are presented to improve the management of smartization projects. Finally, the effectiveness of these solutions in improving the management of smartization projects is evaluated. The results of this research show that city information modeling can play an important role in improving the performance and management of urban smartization projects.
