Investigating and explaining the role of Ethical behavior in implementing the organizational policies of the southeast Red Crescent Society of Iran

The Red Crescent Society, in the field of ethics and humanitarian values, seeks to promote human dignity, altruism, peace and understanding, social solidarity, voluntary service and the constructive role of the youth and to provide humanitarian relief activities and its own capacity-building to society as a designated government organization to reduce human suffering and serving the needy and deprived people and groups. This study was conducted to investigate and explain the role of ethical behavior on the implementation of policy in this organization. The present study is from the applied research type based on the purpose and according to the method of data collection, it’s a descriptive research from the correlation study type especially structural equation modeling type that its sample includes 324 employees from three provinces of Kerman, Hormozgan and Sistan and Baluchestan who were selected through a cluster sampling proportional to sample size. The data were collected by two questionnaires of ethical behavior and implementation of the policies of the four functional areas of the organization which were prepared by experts’ opinion and Delphi method and were analyzed by SPSS 23 and AMOS 23 software, single-sample T-test and Pearson correlation. Based on the research results, the mean score of ethical behavior was 3.79 ± 0.74 and the mean score of the policy implementation was 4.06 ± 0.43 which was higher than the average level and also the relationship between the ethical behavior variable and public policy implementation variable (P <0.01, r = 0.17) is positive and significant meaning that with increasing the ethical behavior, the implementation of public policy also increases. Considering the obtained findings, it is necessary to pay more attention to standards of ethical behaviors and promote them among employees of this organization to implement politics and organizational policies which is the responsibility of the managers of this public institution. |
