Therefore, introducing a suitable housing model that is both economically viable and culturally aligned with the people&#39;s way of life appears to be a necessity. Drawing on the tradition of shared living in Iran&#39;s past, co-housing emerges as a potential solution to this crisis. However, since this concept is relatively new in Iran, the present study aims to identify the components of co-housing in alignment with Iran&#39;s cultural, social, and economic conditions and, ultimately, to develop a general architectural framework for this type of housing. The research methodology in this study is qualitative and consists of two stages: Stage 1: Using content analysis, the components of co-housing were classified. Stage 2: This stage comprises two interconnected parts: 1. Through a grounded theory approach, the acceptance of co-housing and the identification of &quot;Iranian&quot; co-housing components were achieved. 2.Based on the case study method, design strategies for co-housing were developed. In the final conclusion, the design strategies for &quot;Iranian&quot; co-housing were derived, highlighting that issues such as privacy, voluntary interaction, and centralized layouts hold significant importance for Iranians.
