fa معرفت‌شناسی آینده‌پژوهی در رویکردهای نظری به برنامه‌ریزی شهری، معماری و صنعت ساختمان تخصصي Special پژوهشي Research مشکلات کنونی شهرسازی و معماری، ناشی از عدم شناخت دقیق آینده شهرها و معماری مربوط به آن است. اگر وضعیت امروز جامعه نتیجه آینده‌نگری زمان گذشته بوده پس اشکالات عدیده‌ای در شیوه برنامه ریزی و نحوه شناخت ما از آینده در گذشته برای شهرسازان و معماران آن زمان وجود داشته است. این موضوع نشان می دهد که آینده پژوهی در فرایند برنامه ریزی شهری و معماری جایگاه ویژه ای دارد که ضرورت تدوین چشم اندازهای آینده معماری و شهرسازی را رقم می زند. در این مقاله در رویکردی بنیادی با روش توصیفی و اسنادی به معرفت شناسی آینده پژوهی در آینده شهرها و نظام مطالعات و برنامه ریزی شهری پرداخته شده است که از روش تحلیل منطقی و تحلیل استدلالی بهره برده است. نتایج یافته های تحقیق به نظام جدید برنامه ریزی نوین در شهرسازی و معماری با بهره گیری از روشهای آینده پژوهی اشاره کرده است. فرایند برنامه ریزی سنتی، خطی و متشکل از 6 مرحله کلی است. در این فرایند محوریت موضوع بر پیش بینی روندهای گذشته در آینده است که هیچگونه تأکیدی بر روندهای ناپیوسته که ممکن است در آینده رخ دهد نمی شود لذا دارای ضعف بسیار عمده ای در خصوص آینده نگری است چون تمام ویژگی های آینده را مورد بررسی قرار نمی دهد. سناریونویسی برای آینده و تشکیل سبد سناریوها مبتنی بر متغیرهای تأثیرگذار در جامعه آینده از دیگر مراحل مهم در رویکرد نو به برنامه‌ریزی است که لازم است تمهیدات لازم و احتیاطی جهت برخورد با هرگونه آینده ممکن در جهان آینده اندیشیده شود.
