Some contemporary studies show that closed-growth communities can increase spatial separation. The current research examines the enclosed communities and their social, economic, and spatial effects in urban environments. The research method is a combination of analytical and provincial methods. In this research, we investigated the comparative definitions and categories of closed societies and analyzed the characteristics and consequences of these types of societies. From the definitions and characteristics, the components of closed societies were obtained, and these components were categorized into five aspects: physical-spatial, functional, semantic, management-economic-legal, and cognitive-demographic-social, according to the abundance of these components in the definitions. And the expert test was done to redefine the comprehensive concept of closed communities. In the meantime, by evaluating the history and different characteristics contained in different societies, we have tried to see the relationship between these societies.
