Design Criteria and Standards of Seasonal Valley-river Improvement Case study: Karaj Imported Seasonal Valley-river

River valleys are among the most important natural elements of cities, which as urban organs integrate people, city and nature and play an important role in uplifting the quality of urban environment. Abnormal growth of cities has violated this wealth and decreasingly made its value remaining unknown in urban programs. Almost the river valley sides are known as to be waste, unusable, unsafe, and hazardous place in cities instead of being a recreational one. The river valley at the entrance of Karaj is not an exception and is potential to become a desirable place for tourism and spending free times. Rehabilitation of river valleys as one of the main centers of recreation and sports for citizens, and systematization of city entrance emphasizing the reviving role of river valley are among the main objectives of the current study. Therefore, this article studies the current situation and rehabilitation of Karaj river valley and its effects on the entrance of Karaj City.
